Update on Jax Shadle

Dear KKF supporters,

We’re now 2+ months into this journey with Jax’s diagnosis. With weekly treatment and in-patient treatment every 3 weeks (not to mention transfusions, countless meds, and runs to the hospital for any little fever) it has certainly been overwhelming at times.

However, we continue to be amazed at the energy and consistent improvement of this little boy. We often say, “If he had hair, you’d never know.” He has been such a strong little guy through all of this. We’ve been amazed at the amount of people pleading with the Lord on Jax’s behalf. One of our prayers is that God would incline his ear and respond in a miraculous, inexplainable way.

Even just based on the progress Jax has had, we believe that He is doing that.
Jax’s doctors and medical professionals have told us several times things like, “this progress isn’t typical” or “we continue to be impressed.”
There is still a ways to go, but this has been tremendously encouraging.

Tomorrow, January 12th, Jax has an appointment to get updated scans. These scans will determine the exact path of what radiation will look like for Jax.
The doctors expect radiation to begin in January or February and chemo treatment to continue into the fall of 2023.

We’re praying to see significant improvement and that these tumors have totally and miraculously shrunk to nothing. Would you please join us in praying the same?

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being ma. de in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
Psalm 139:13-16

Thank you, and again, to God be all the glory.
